Costa Dorada (in Catalan, Costa Daurada) in the tourist name assigned to the coast of the Balearic Sea, in the Mediterranean, located in the province of Tarragona (Spain) from the north to the delta del Ebro and Cabo Salou.
One of the tourist attractions of Costa Dorada is the PORT AVENTURA theme park, located between the municipalities of Vilaseca and Salou, near the provincial capital, Tarragona. It can also be found along the coastline, such as the beaches of Sitges, Cubelles, del Vendrell, Rocío de San Gaieta, Arco de Bará, the archaeological site of Tarragona declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO on November 30, 2000, as well as several small towns or places like San Carlos de la Rápita, with one of the best fishing ports in this Catalan coastal sector. In the interior they emphasize the walled town of Montblanc, Valls and its gastronomy of calçots and the Monastery of Poblet where they lie several Kings of the Crown of Catalano-Aragonese.
